OpenLDAP configuration files

The ldap server configuration file is

/etc/openldap/slapd.conf

It controls what schema files are loaded, controls access to data and sets the root context. In the same directory we find the

/etc/openldap/ldap.conf

which is the default client configuration. You may also find a

/etc/ldap.conf

which is the config file for the ldap pam module.
