AFS Software installation

This tutorial is based on Opensuse 11.2. Earlier/later and other Linux distros should work similar. If you are in doubt, consult the openAFS Documentation: http://docs.openafs.org/

With OpenSuse? 11.2 you can include the "filesystems" Repository and install OpenAFS Packages:

zypper ar http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/filesystems/openSUSE_11.2/ repo-filesystems
zypper refresh

zypper in openafs-server openafs openafs-docs openafs-krb5-mit

and for the Client:

zypper in openafs-client openafs-krb5-mit
